A stay at Masseria Potenti is like spending a quality time with the Italian family you never knew you had. The homey atmosphere, familiar cuisine and charisma of the owners will welcome you from the moment you enter. Very close to many of the best beaches of Puglia, Masseria Potenti will transport you to a timeless dimension where every detail will have the feeling of a house you have never lived in but which will seem your own in every corner.
DESIGN/ARCHITECTURE
The location dates back to the 11th century and although it has had several renovations, it still retains all the charm that only an old rural house can give. Once you open the large front door and cross the threshold you will find yourself in a large space surrounded by the typical Apulian walls in white lime, arches, prickly pears and bougainvillaea. Every little detail is designed to give you unique emotions that will take you back in time.
The guests of Masseria Potenti, enjoy exclusive privacy in the suites obtained from the old sheepfolds. In the farmers’ houses, all with living room, fireplace and a private garden romantic dinners can be served on requests. All spaces are furnished with a simple taste that recalls the ancient traditions but always very classy and refined.
CUISINE
Besides wine, healthy food is an important part of Masseria Potenti. The morning there begins with a hearty breakfast: the jams are those prepared with the fruit from their large garden, as well as the cakes, freshly baked and prepared with eggs from their henhouse and their wheat. At dusk, guests returning from their excursions will find the true atmosphere of the farm; the sunsets reflecting on the white lime walls and the singing of cicadas. The only frenetic activity is that which can be seen through the large windows of the kitchen, where the smells and aromas of Mediterranean cuisine come from.
Dinner is served around long tables lit by candles and typical Apulian handmade luminaries. The various courses will allow you to choose according to your taste, but each food has in common careful attention in the choice of products strictly fresh and seasonal, closely related to the territory, prepared according to ancient recipes and in the worship of sacred and ancient hospitality.

For those who love to cook or even those who like to browse through aromas, colours and freshness, is given the opportunity to take part in numerous cooking classes and thematically different of which the constant is always the authenticity of km ‘0’. For nature lovers, it is also possible to organise trips to the two nearby marine nature reserves - La Salina dei Monaci and Paluda del Conte. Here the love for the earth, the joy of the open-air and a simple and natural world is nurtured so there's also real spiritual energy to this place that, no wonder, it's become a popular spot for yoga retreats and more especially for weddings.
